Hiring Medical License Officer (DHP / QCHP) for Qatar
Job Summary
The Medical License Officer is responsible for managing the full licensing lifecycle of healthcare professionals in Qatar including application renewal transfer and compliance with the Department of Healthcare Professions under the Ministry of Public Health.
The role ensures that all healthcare staff meet regulatory requirements and obtain/maintain valid licenses to legally practice in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
1. Licensing Process Management
Handle new license applications for doctors nurses and allied healthcare professionals
Manage license transfer (change employer) and license renewal processes
Coordinate temporary provisional and full license issuance
In Qatar all healthcare professionals must be licensed through DHP before practicing
2. Documentation & Compliance
Review and prepare required documents such as:
Educational certificates
Experience certificates
Passport & QID
Good Standing Certificate
Ensure compliance with DHP requirements and circular updates
The licensing system requires strict documentation and eligibility verification
3. DataFlow / PSV Coordination
Manage Primary Source Verification (DataFlow) process
Follow up with candidates on missing or rejected documents
Ensure all credentials are verified before submission
Primary Source Verification is now mandatory under updated regulations (2026)
4. Application Submission & Follow-up
Submit applications via DHP online system
Track application status and resolve issues or rejections
Liaise with DHP for approvals and clarifications
5. Exam & Eligibility Coordination
Guide candidates on:
Prometric exam requirements (if applicable)
Eligibility criteria based on profession
Ensure candidates meet experience and qualification standards
6. License Transfer & Employer Changes
Handle:
Change of employer requests
License restoration (expired licenses)
Sponsorship transfer coordination
License transfer is required for locally hired practitioners changing employers
7. Internal Coordination
Work with:
HR & recruitment teams
Medical directors
PRO / Government relations
Ensure timely onboarding of healthcare staff
8. Regulatory Updates & Compliance
Stay updated with:
DHP circulars
Licensing policy changes
CPD (Continuing Professional Development) requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare Administration HR or related field preferred)
Minimum 2–5 years experience in medical licensing in Qatar
Strong knowledge of:
DHP / QCHP system
DataFlow process
Qatar healthcare regulations
Skills Required
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of government portals and online systems
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
