Job Description:

Position Title: Elevator Safety Officer
Department: Installation / Operations
Location: Qatar

Job Purpose:

The Elevator Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring all elevator installation maintenance and service activities are carried out in full compliance with safety regulations company standards and local authority requirements. The role focuses on preventing accidents ensuring safe working practices and monitoring site safety during installation and servicing works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce safety procedures during elevator installation and maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all technicians follow proper safety guidelines and use required PPE.
• Prepare safety reports and incident documentation when required.
• Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for site teams.
• Coordinate with project/installation managers to ensure safe execution of works.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company policies.
• Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis and preventive measures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5–7 years experience in elevator installation or maintenance safety.
• Strong knowledge of elevator systems and installation processes.
• Previous experience in safety supervision within construction or elevator industry.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards.
• Certification in Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent preferred).
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work on-site and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with major elevator brands (e.g. Otis KONE Schindler Mitsubishi etc.).
• Knowledge of risk assessment and safety audits.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
