Position Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data and Analytics Intern. This internship offers exposure to various facets of operations management and provides an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized adaptable and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Build data structure and data lake intake method to support future analytics tools use at a growing Fortune 500 company
- Collaborate with team members to identify inefficiencies in operational processes and propose solutions for improvement
- Collect analyze and present data related to key performance indictors (KPIs) and operational metrics. Prepare reports to track progress and identify trends
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operational processes procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics or a related field
- Proficiency in Python including experience with libraries such as Pandas NumPy or similar data manipulation tools
- Foundational understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Azure Data Factory or similar data pipeline tools
- Experience with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level (data validation structured tables named ranges or form design)
- Exposure to data intake or form-based data collection workflows
- Basic understanding of data governance concepts (data quality documentation lineage)
- Experience with Power Automate Power Apps or other Microsoft 365 tools
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional stakeholders
