Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Travel)
Location: Canton GA
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift (8:30 AM 5:00 PM)
• Schedule: Monday Friday (5x8-hour shifts)
• Total Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in compounding IV preparation and handling hazardous medications with a focus on maintaining safety and accuracy in pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in filling compounding and dispensing medication orders
• Perform technical duties related to handling packaging and delivering pharmaceuticals
• Prepare and mix IV medications in compliance with safety standards
• Handle hazardous drugs and perform chemotherapy compounding as required
• Support multiple pharmacy functions such as production distribution inventory and specialty areas
• Ensure accurate medication preparation and documentation
• Provide support for patients across all age groups (neonate to geriatric)
• Maintain compliance with safety regulatory and infection control standards

Requirements:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a specialty setting
• IV mixing experience required
• Hazardous drug and chemotherapy compounding experience required (oncology experience preferred)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information:

• Candidates must be willing to travel
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
