Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Travel) Location: Canton GA Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule:
Shift: Day Shift (8:30 AM 5:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday Friday (5x8-hour shifts)
Total Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in compounding IV preparation and handling hazardous medications with a focus on maintaining safety and accuracy in pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in filling compounding and dispensing medication orders
Perform technical duties related to handling packaging and delivering pharmaceuticals
Prepare and mix IV medications in compliance with safety standards
Handle hazardous drugs and perform chemotherapy compounding as required
Support multiple pharmacy functions such as production distribution inventory and specialty areas
Ensure accurate medication preparation and documentation
Provide support for patients across all age groups (neonate to geriatric)
Maintain compliance with safety regulatory and infection control standards
Requirements:
Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Georgia
Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a specialty setting
IV mixing experience required
Hazardous drug and chemotherapy compounding experience required (oncology experience preferred)
AHA BLS certification required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:
