Job Summary
Job Description
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to work with a highly interactive team to teach introductory biology courses for majors and additional core courses (eg. Genetics microbiology physiology etc.). The ideal candidate will be able to educate excite and inspire students about a broad range of biology topics. Non-tenure-earning teaching positions at UAB provide substantial opportunities for professional growth and long-term contributions to education
Required Qualifications
(1) Ph.D. in biology or related discipline (2) Laboratory- and/or field-based research experience (3) Track record of teaching excellence (4) Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
(1) Experience in teaching undergraduate biology (2) Experience in developing instructional laboratory curricula (3) Experience in course development (4) Experience in online course development and teaching (5) Experience teaching to large enrollment classes of science majors
