Role: QA/Test Engineer (ATM Template Development)

Location: Dundee

Grade: 10

We are seeking a dynamic self-motivated individual to join our software QA team based at the NCR Atleos Discovery Centre R&D site in Dundee attending the office at least 3 days per week on a hybrid working model.

NCR Atleos ATM Recycler/Deposit devices contain a Bill Validator module installed with Currency Template software. The Template software verifies the deposited media to determine several characteristics including detection of genuine or counterfeit currency. It is the responsibility of the software QA team to ensure that the currency template is fit for purpose and quality is not compromised during the development process.

The successful candidate will be part of an engineering group with development teams in global locations. As a Software Quality Engineer in the team you will be responsible for the testing and validation of multiple template deliverables simultaneously and assisting the investigation of complex problems.

Due to the unique development environment and knowledge required for this role full training will be given to the successful candidate to acquire the appropriate skill set.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Validate software builds and documentation against customer requirements

Apply testing processes for new and existing currency templates

Plan & prioritise testing activities with QA Lead

Analyse bugs and errors found during tests

Communicate findings from test results to the development team

Record document & maintain QA check lists thoroughly

Review product documents and feed back to the development team

Liaise with other internal teams as required (e.g. Support Product Management)

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelors Level Degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience

Exceptional attention to detail

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good oral and written communication skills

Diligent and meticulous

Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks

Great team player

Desirable (Advantageous but Not Essential)

Use of Jira & Git version control system

Cash recycling device hardware experience
