The Opportunity

QBE Europe is recruiting aprogrammemanager to join our well-established technology servicesfunctionsupporting ourInsurance Customer and Pricing Train team in our London office. The purpose of this role is to provide project management leadership and support ensuring the successful execution of all assigned projects. This role involves taking full responsibility for defining documenting and completing complexprogrammes andprojects with high impact and dependencies while managing resources costs and stakeholder expectations effectively. Additionally the role may involve managing partnershipsprogrammes and initiatives and supporting the management ofprogrammeservices initiatives across the business.

Your new role

  • Effectively lead and supportprogrammes and projects to achieve defined business outcomes.

  • Effectively lead and support a team of project managers

  • Create strong partnerships with business leaders and serve as their primary point of contact.

  • Deliver effective decision-making by analysing complex operational and financial information.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership to drive results and manage risks.

  • Manage relationships with all project stakeholders to achieve project initiatives on time and on budget.

  • Develop comprehensive communication plans and manage project communication with key stakeholders.

  • Attract select develop motivate train andretaina high-quality workforce to deliver excellent outcomes and customer service.

  • Build clear plans to deliver business outcomes.

  • Work effectively with internal delivery teams and external vendors to deliver projects.

  • Make a clear connection between the project activities and business benefits.

About You

  • Extensiveprogrammemanagementexperiencein achangefunctionwithdemonstrableand consistentcareerprogression throughproject management channels

  • General Insurance experiencenecessary preferably in the UK Commercial/SME space(LondonMarket not)

  • Experience ofleadingmultipleconcurrentIT workstreamswithin larger business transformationprogrammes

  • Experience of project managementmethodologies (APM Prince 2 etc)RAID managementfinancial and budget management

  • Management of external contractorsand vendorstoachieve desired outcomes

  • Proven communicator with excellent people management experience

  • Experienceof working closely with architecture practice to ensure designs agreed align todesired business outcomes

  • Experience developing and presenting business cases and recommendations to senior stakeholders

  • In-depthexperience leadingteams or practices in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability toidentifyandinitiateprocess / continuous improvementinitiatives

  • Ability tonavigateambiguityandputstrategies in place to delivercomplexbusinessoutcomes

  • Driven and focusedwith aninnate ability to get the job done
