Manager Business Analytics

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead the development and scaling of data and analytics capabilities to enable customercentric and datadriven decisionmaking across OutsideUS markets driving the integration and effective use of diverse data sources to generate meaningful insights that support commercial and operational strategies. It involves close partnership with global and regional stakeholders to embed analytics into business processes ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and marketspecific business requirements while continuously evolving analytical frameworks data models and measurement approaches to improve business performance and decision quality.
he role also ensures high standards of data quality consistency and governance enabling scalable and flexible analytics solutions across markets.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Commercial Marketing Field Excellence Digital and Finance) to translate business questions into analytical solutions.

Develop and apply analytical methods (e.g. segmentation forecasting performance analysis and predictive modeling) to generate actionable insights.

Analyze customer market and operational data to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement.

Design and maintain dashboards reports and data products that provide clear visibility into key performance metrics.

Work closely with Technology and Data Engineering teams to ensure reliable data pipelines proper data integration and accessibility.

Support test-and-learn initiatives by designing and analyzing experiments to inform business decisions.

Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Stay informed on emerging analytics techniques and tools and contribute to their adoption where relevant.

Authority:

Provide strategic input and guidance to the O-US data and reporting roadmap.

Select and oversee vendors supporting customer engagement and sales reporting capabilities.

Outputs:

Clear actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Robust analytical models and tools that enhance understanding of business performance and opportunities.

Scalable reporting and dashboard solutions that provide transparency on key metrics.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

A visionary leader with the ability to define what could be in terms of data strategy and business enablement while maintaining a deep understanding of what is across Amgen systems and processes demonstrating strong strategic judgment to make difficult tradeoffs in system solutions and guide senior OutsideUS leadership through decisionmaking. This role requires a high level of comfort in analytical and technical environments including customer engagement platforms data management tracking reporting analytics and ROI combined with the ability to partner effectively with IT commercial and medical stakeholders. The individual brings strong leadership and changemanagement capabilities inspires innovation across crossfunctional and panregional teams navigates ambiguity through an iterative pilotbased approach and drives results through solid interpersonal crossfunctional and selfmanagement skills while consistently defending key strategic principles.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Academic education or experience from similar positions
  • >5 years experience in industry; Deep understanding and experience in pharma sales & marketing preferably at Amgen
  • >3 years operational experience in implementing integrated multichannel cross-functional approaches (integrated at customer level planning execution tracking and analysis level)
  • Documented transversal and transformational project management track record of success
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to be able to drive very clear choices and priorities for the multichannel approach including investment levels and trade offs versus current way of working
  • Fluency in English both oral and written communications.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Computer skills (MS Office programs)
  • Tableau advanced developer skills
  • Database query skills (e.g. SQL)

Preferred Requirements:

  • >8 years experience in a leading pharmaceutical/biotechnology company; Experience in an affiliate SME leadership role strongly preferred to ensure strong understanding of Amgen current commercial systems and processes
  • >5 years experience in project management & outsourcing
  • Significant experience in working within demanding matrix environment (including regional/global partnership with Technology/Finance/HR/Sourcing)
