Job Summary
Job Title: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Sterling VA
Job Type: Contract (7 Weeks)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM 3:45 PM (7.25 hours/day including break)
Job Overview:
Looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students in a school setting. This role involves helping with daily care mobility and classroom activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal hygiene (toileting handwashing grooming)
- Support student mobility and positioning
- Help during meals including feeding if needed
- Provide one-on-one classroom support
- Follow care plans and staff instructions
- Monitor and report student behavior
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist with arrival dismissal and transitions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with children or special needs (preferred)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to assist with lifting and mobility
- Patient caring and dependable
- CPR/First Aid (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Must pass background checks
