Data Architect Lead

As a Data Architect Lead you will take a senior leadership role in shaping and governing Symbos enterprise data architecture. This role is critical in enabling scalable secure and high-quality analytics that support data-driven decision-making across the business.

You will own the design build and ongoing evolution of a modern enterprise data platform with a strong focus on the Microsoft data ecosystem. Acting as a trusted technical advisor you will work closely with business analytics engineering and platform teams to deliver robust enterprise-grade data solutions.

What youll be responsible for

Advanced analytics and data science leadership

• Leading the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to drive meaningful business insights
• Designing governing and optimising statistical predictive and machine learning models
• Embedding data-driven insights into business workflows and decision-making
• Translating complex analytical outputs into clear actionable insights for senior stakeholders

Modern data platform and data warehouse architecture

• Designing and evolving a scalable cloud-based data warehouse and lakehouse architecture
• Overseeing data pipelines for ingestion transformation and modelling across multiple source systems
• Driving best-practice adoption of Microsoft Fabric including lakehouse warehouse pipelines and semantic models
• Ensuring platforms are secure performant resilient and cost-efficient

Data tooling and analytics enablement

• Providing technical leadership across the modern data and analytics stack
• Governing high-quality analytical datasets and semantic models
• Ensuring Power BI dashboards and reporting support executive decision-making
• Identifying opportunities to uplift analytics capability across the Microsoft ecosystem

Data governance and quality

• Owning data quality frameworks across pipelines models and datasets
• Defining validation reconciliation and quality assurance standards
• Ensuring compliance with data governance security and regulatory requirements
• Maintaining clear documentation across data models pipelines and processes

Stakeholder engagement and leadership

• Partnering with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Presenting architectural decisions and insights to technical and non-technical audiences
• Leading mentoring and uplifting analysts and engineers across data and analytics practices

What were looking for

• Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior or leadership role within data architecture or analytics
• Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture including data warehousing and lakehouse design
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Strong understanding of data modelling integration patterns and analytics enablement
• Solid knowledge of data governance security access controls and data quality frameworks
• Proven experience influencing stakeholders and leading technical direction
