Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a correctional setting. The RN will deliver direct patient care support interdisciplinary teams and ensure the health and well-being of individuals in custody through assessment treatment and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional environment
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly
- Offer health education counseling and support to patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs graduate nurses and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Key Details:
- Contract Duration: 2652 weeks
- Schedule: 5x8 Mid shifts
- Interview Process: In-person interview required
- Clearance Requirement: Must pass state criminal history clearance prior to start (processing time may take several weeks)
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Current registration as a professional nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior correctional or behavioral health experience
- Ability to work effectively in a secure and structured environment
