HealthPartners is hiring a Working Supervisor Neurodiagnostics. This position works under the general supervision of the Neuroscience Operations Manager this roleleadsthe day-to-day operations and activities of the neurodiagnostic area. Including completing the time-keeping system schedules annually orders equipment and supplies and performs as a working supervisor as andmaintainstrainingprogramand trainsnew staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of anElectroneurodiagnosticTechnology program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education and/or an associate degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience with a wide range of neurophysiologic monitoring.
  • Previoussupervisory experience
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Board registration in one or more of the following: EEG (REEGT) EP (REPT CNIM)
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy and physiology knowledge of neurological disorders and diseases
  • Knowledge ofelectroneurodiagnosticequipment
  • Experience with computer operation/knowledge of basic electronics
  • Understandingdetailed documentation and record keeping.
  • Must be professional andself-motivated
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)
  • Experience in EEG long term monitoring nerve conduction studies and IOM.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to lead direct and motivate a team of employees
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge of all neurodiagnostic testing procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. (10%) Responsible for the supervision of staff including having the authority to hire transfer lay off promote discipline and discharge trainrewardand review performance of and departmental policies and procedures.
  2. (25%) Leads and directs the daily operations of the neurodiagnostic lab to assure the highest levels of patient satisfaction carequalityandsafety.
  • Provide leadership support and coordination of daily staff duties and schedules of all Neurodiagnostic Lab staff.
  • Trainsnewand existing staff.
  • Articulatesa clear visionfor service levels for patient care in areas of responsibility.
  • Setsand manages staffing patterns which meet service levels in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Develops andmaintainstraining program for new and existing are trainedonall processes and equipment.
  • Initiates cross-functional departmental communications toidentifyand resolve issues that interfere with the achievementtotarget service levels for a defined patient population.
  • Presents a positive and professional image to internal and external staff and patients.
  • Works with staff to develop implement review and update quality improvement efforts.
  • Collaborates with physicianscliniciansand support colleagues toidentifyand implement leading practice protocolspathwaysand/or order sets for patient populations in areas of responsibility.
  • Meets safetyqualityand regulatory standards.
  • Developsmonitorsand ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Completes and manages the time keeping system schedules for the regular week andon-call. Approves time off requests and/or leaves of absence. Approves timecards.
  • Enterstheappropriate on-calltech intosystemand assures that it is correct.
  1. (15%) Accountable for the stewardship of resources.
  • Monitors expenditures to ensure complianceto approvedbudget
  • Prepares operating and capital budgets annually in collaboration with the director and other leaders as needed. Investigates and corrects budgetary discrepancies. Pursues cost savings andorrevenue generating opportunities
  • Maintains equipment and supplies by overseeinginventoriesand all orders contactingappropriate personnelforrepairsand serving meetswith sales representatives to discuss and evaluate new types of equipment.
  1. (3%) Complies with safety instructionsobservessafe work practices provides input on safetyissuesand promotes a safe work environment.
  2. (1%) -Protects patient and member confidentiality
  3. (1%) -Demonstratesparticipation in and support of the organizations Corporate Integrity Program byparticipatingin compliance-related education and training andcomplying withthe organizations policies and procedures.
  4. (40%)-May perform as a working supervisor as needed.
  5. (5%) -Performs other duties as assigned.
