Job Summary

We are seeking a Planning Manager to lead the planning and scheduling function on large-scale hyperscale Data Centre projects (50MW).

Operating on the client/owner side you will be responsible for developing managing and assuring integrated project schedules across all phasesfrom design through construction and commissioning. You will work closely with contractors project managers and commercial teams to ensure programme certainty and performance through data-driven insights and digital planning methodologies.


Responsibilities

1. Planning Strategy & Programme Development

  • Develop and manage integrated master programmes covering design procurement construction and commissioning

  • Define planning standards processes and reporting structures across the project

  • Review and challenge contractor programmes to ensure alignment with project milestones and delivery strategy

  • Ensure integration of MEP commissioning and handover sequencingwithin the master schedule


2. Programme Management & Control

  • Monitor and control project progress against baseline programmes

  • Identify delays risks and opportunities implementing mitigation strategies

  • Conduct critical path analysis and scenario planning to support decision-making

  • Ensure alignment between programme cost and construction delivery


3. Stakeholder & Contractor Coordination

  • Act as the client-side planning lead coordinating with contractors consultants and project teams

  • Lead planning meetings workshops and schedule reviews

  • Challenge contractor methodologies sequencing and logic to ensure realistic and achievable programmes

  • Provide clear communication of programme performance to stakeholders


4. Data Reporting & Digital Integration

  • Drive programme performance using data analytics dashboards and digital reporting tools

  • Integrate planning outputs with 4D BIM and project controls systems

  • Produce accurate and timely reports on progress risks and forecasts

  • Support automation of reporting and data integration across project systems


5. Risk & Delay Management

  • Identify and manage programme risks including interface and coordination challenges

  • Support assessment of delays extensions of time and programme impacts

  • Maintain programme risk registers and mitigation plans

  • Provide input into claims analysis and dispute resolution where required


6. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and mentor planning engineers and junior planners

  • Promote best practices in planning scheduling and project controls

  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and innovation

  • Support development of planning capability aligned with WiiGroups digital standards


Our Ideal Candidate

You are a highly experienced planner who thrives in complex high-value project environments. You bring a strong technical understanding of construction sequencing and are passionate about using data digital tools and innovation to drive programme certainty.

You are comfortable challenging contractors engaging with stakeholders and translating complex schedule data into clear actionable insights.


Experience Required

  • 815 years experience in project planning or project controls

  • Proven experience on Data Centre / Mission Critical projects (essential)

  • Experience working in a client-side / owners representative role preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6or equivalent planning software

  • Strong understanding of construction MEP systems and commissioning processes

  • Experience delivering projects from design through to handover

  • Data-driven mindset with experience in digital planning and reporting tools
