Group Finance Financial Manager

A well-established motor industry group is seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of multiple motor vehicle dealerships within the group.

This role is based in Johannesburg and requires regular travel to various dealership locations.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring financial accuracy compliance performance analysis and strategic financial direction across the group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage the full financial function across multiple dealerships
• Ensure accurate and timeous preparation of monthly management accounts
• Analyse financial results and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency
• Monitor and control budgets forecasts and cash flow across the group
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and internal controls
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage and support dealership financial teams
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
• Drive process improvements and standardisation across dealerships
• Provide strategic financial input to senior management and operational teams
• Travel regularly to dealerships for oversight support and audits

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Non-negotiable
• Minimum 10 years experience as a Senior Finance /Financial Manager within the motor industry (essential)
• Proven experience managing multiple entities franchises or dealership groups
• Strong track record in senior financial leadership roles within automotive retail environments

• Systems Knowledge:
• o Experience with dealer management systems (DMS) such as Evolve or equivalent platforms
• 
  
• Other Requirements:
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regularly
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• High level of accuracy discipline and attention to detail
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
• Experience in a multi-franchise or large group dealership environment Advantageous
• Exposure to OEM reporting and compliance frameworks Advantageous
