Job Summary
To be eligible youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of ageat the beginningof the employment period*
- be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under theImmigration and Refugee Protection Actfor the duration of the employment**and
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
Who we are:
Canadian Mental Health Association Durham is an integrated community mental health and primary care hub that has been providing mental health services to Durham Region for over 60 years.
During that time it has evolved to provide a broad range of services to individuals and their families experiencing mental health challenges from information and education to case management psychosocial rehabilitation housing and primary healthcare. These services are provided through inter-professional teams focused on providing clinically based services that in addition to dealing with client mental health issues address social determinants of health using the recovery model.
OVERVIEW
This position provides administrative support to the IT department within the Canadian Mental Health Association Durham (CMHA Durham).
Responsibilities
Support the IT team in maintaining hardware software and other systems
Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
Organize and maintain IT resources.
Support in areas such as analytics network documentation and hardware re-imaging
Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Post-secondary education Computer Systems Technology or related field
Familiar with Java Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint
Strong verbal and written communication
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
Ability to work well in teams
Strong work ethic organized with attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Tools
Performs other duties as assigned
