Overview of Business Area & Purpose of Role:

The role is a Software Developer role within a team whose prime responsibility is the feature development and sustaining of Core Java based product in R&D.

The responsibilities will be the design development and sustenance of application. The development will be based on Core Java in Linux environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To carry out product support and maintenance
• To carry out detailed design code unit test
• To report on progress planning issues and problems
• To communicate freely with other project members to ensure an efficient and successful project.
• To liaise with Product Architect/Design Authority regarding the product functionality & design
• To review the work of peers & the Product Architect/Design Authority

Qualifications & Experience:

A graduate with at least 4 to 12 years of experience in Core java development.

Essential:

• Experience designing and developing the code in Core Java J2EE
• Experience in Core Java Java Script AJAXHibernate struts
• JavaScript expert with thoroughunderstanding of object oriented JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong presentation and communications skills.
• Experience working with remote co-workers is a plus
• Self-starters capable of operating with minimal supervision to solve problems
• Excellent problem resolution skills and enjoy technical challenges
• Effort estimation and schedule tracking skills mandatory
• Independent self-starter who can lead and drive initiative from ground up.

Desirable:

• Experience in developing large scaled high performance multi-threaded distributed client/server programming
• Experience in shell and Perl scripting
• Linux/Unix experience
• Experience in an Agile team environment/project

Skills & Competencies:

• Keywords Core Java J2EE Java Script Webservices REST/SOAP angularJS HTTP HTML5 Springboot

The nature of the role requires a flexible attitude and strong problem solving and research capabilities.

Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a multicultural team.

Good oral and written communication skills are required as there will be a need to liaise with staff in other parts of the R&D organisation staff in Support Product Management etc
