Chinle, AZ IHS Pharmacist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

• Minimum 6 months outpatient pharmacy experience (required)
• Recommended: 2 years recent experience in hospital/outpatient setting

• Strong outpatient dispensing and verification skills
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
• Patient counseling and education
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Ability to work in high-volume underserved/rural healthcare setting
• Cultural awareness and adaptability (Native American population preferred)

• Provide outpatient pharmacy services including prescription verification dispensing and medication management
• Review patient medication profiles assess therapy effectiveness and recommend changes when appropriate
• Counsel patients on medication usage side effects and compliance
• Monitor for drug interactions adverse effects and therapeutic duplications
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in EHR systems
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
• Ensure compliance with federal state IHS and Joint Commission standards
• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives

• Facility serves a high-volume Native American population in a rural setting
• Contractors must work 100% of assigned hours and support schedule flexibility
