Job Title: Pharmacist

Shift Schedule: Monday Friday; rotating 8 10 hour shifts within facility hours (6:45 AM 8:00 PM range) including extended shifts as required
How many shifts needed per month: 20 22 shifts/month (full-time coverage 40 hrs/week equivalent)
Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
License: Any active U.S. Pharmacist license works
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program
Experience needed:
- Minimum 6 months outpatient pharmacy experience (required)
- Recommended: 2 years recent experience in hospital/outpatient setting
Special Skills needed:
- Strong outpatient dispensing and verification skills
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Patient counseling and education
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Ability to work in high-volume underserved/rural healthcare setting
- Cultural awareness and adaptability (Native American population preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient pharmacy services including prescription verification dispensing and medication management
- Review patient medication profiles assess therapy effectiveness and recommend changes when appropriate
- Counsel patients on medication usage side effects and compliance
- Monitor for drug interactions adverse effects and therapeutic duplications
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Ensure compliance with federal state IHS and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
Misc:
- Facility serves a high-volume Native American population in a rural setting
- Contractors must work 100% of assigned hours and support schedule flexibility
