No prior experience required just a positive attitude and commitment to make a difference in patients lives every day.
About the program:
This hands-on training program offers a comprehensive introduction to the role of a Theatre Technician working alongside experience professional in a real hospital environment.
Over four months youll learn how to:
- Set-up clean and maintain operating theatre equipment
- Safely assist with patient handling and transport
- Support clinicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Understand operating theatre protocols and medical terminology
- Understand and apply infection control WH&S and patient safety standards
- Work in a team and communicate in a clinical setting
Upon successful completion of the program you will be considered for ongoing employment as a theatre technician within our operating Suite.

About Epworth Eastern
Located in Box Hill Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 15 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac vascular orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive meaningful and sustainable impact on the health and well being of our community delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbournes east.

The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians AUD $59718 - $73037 super entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).
