Job Summary
Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge of user acceptance testing methods as well as other information system testing techniques.
Knowledge of Software Development (SDLC) processes and testing processes.
Knowledge of Windows environment to provide help desk assistance and test with minimal instruction.
Ability to set up execute and troubleshoot system functionality in alignment with expected test results and testing timeframes.
Ability to adapt to changes and maintain a positive attitude with frequently changing demands. Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
Ability to provide final qualifications of software hardware and documentation by accurately following test procedures and/or utilizing automated test equipment.
Ability to develop expert level knowledge of WIC systems and business processes.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Associate degree in computer science information technology business or other related degree.
Three years of experience with application testing and /or computer support services.
One year SQL experience is preferred.
Preferred experience with human service or eligibility programs.
Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child and Family Services Division.
This position is an IT Systems Support 2 for the Child and Family Services Division. This position provides computer application and user support for CAPS MFSIS CAPS Docgen and PEAKS. This position will test Division software applications in multiple IT projects. Testing includes new software releases user acceptance testing (UAT) and software issues identified by contractors partners and local or internal staff. This position performs data validation on complex federal data files and completes ad hoc data requests. This position will support federal compliance. This position will support the Bureau Chief and special projects as needed.
