Job Vacancy: Head Gardener at Foxhills Collection

Are you an experienced and passionate horticulturist with a talent for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces Foxhills Collection is seeking a skilled and motivated Head Gardener to lead our gardening team and oversee the management of our picturesque grounds.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the gardening team in the maintenance and enhancement of the grounds including planting pruning weeding and watering
• Implementing seasonal lawn care plans
• Perform monthly woodland checks and any reactive works needed
• Develop and implement garden design plans ensuring that they are aesthetically pleasing sustainable and reflective of the propertys overall vision
• Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease control measures as needed
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of gardening equipment ensuring that it is properly maintained and used safely
• Manage the gardening budget including purchasing plants tools and supplies and ensuring that expenses are kept within budgetary constraints
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the grounds are maintained to the highest standards and meet the needs of guests and visitors
• Liaise with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to members
• Take a proactive approach whilst reacting to department and member needs
• Ensure all health and safety requirements for the department are met

Requirements:

• Minimum RHS level two in Amenity Horticulture
• Extensive experience in gardening or horticulture with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale gardening projects
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• In-depth knowledge of plants shrubs and trees and their care and maintenance requirements
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in horticulture or landscaping preferred
