Key duties and responsibilities.

Working within the street scene department on the grounds maintenance section based at the Warley Depot.

To work in designated areas throughout the borough and willassistin the grounds maintenance and cleansing of a wide range of councils public spaces open spaces cemeteries and parks.

Key skillsrequired

• Current driving licence.

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

• High levelof flexibility positive can-do attitude.

• Working knowledge of cemetery operations including grave digging andgravedigging equipment.

• Knowledge and experience of grave diggingprocedures .

• Working knowledge of sophisticated mowing equipment and handheld equipment such as strimmers hedgecuttersand other horticultural equipment.

• Experience in grounds maintenance works such as pruning weeding planting.

• Training in the use of ride on mowers desirable.

• High levelof peopleskills

• Experience of teamworkingand lone working whererequired.
