Job Summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs). As part of the AWS sales organization SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable flexible and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customers most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to- market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO youll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. We are looking for a Streaming Data Specialist Solutions Architect to join our AWS team. This individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers leverage AWS managed services such as Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) Amazon Kinesis Data Streams Amazon Data Firehose and Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink as well as self-managed Apache Kafka and Apache Flink running on AWS to solve their data management AWS youll find teams of focused builders whose ability to invent is only limited by their imaginations. As a trusted customer advocate the specialist solutions architect will help organizations understand advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within organizations ranging from new start-ups to large enterprise customers. The ability to link technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.
Key job responsibilities
Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers largest and most critical business challenges.
Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs whitepapers reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit AWS re: Invent etc.
Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts solutions and initiatives.
Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite S/4HANA SAP Business Warehouse SAP HANA SAP Business Objects etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA SAP Cloud Platform SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private
- Experience in SAP clean core design concepts including design and build using non-SAP technologies in domains such as Generative / Agentic AI and data & analytics

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
