Job Duties

This position provides full range of legal and administrative support to 2- 4 litigation attorneys including typing proofreading and formatting legal documents briefs and correspondence filing answering telephones responding to citizen inquiries creating/maintaining legal databases managing docket/correspondence control for attorneys and record keeping. Duties may include backup responsibilities for case management database.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Word encompassing the preparation of litigation documents including briefs memoranda and correspondence.
  • Workload demands typing skill of at least 65-70 wpm.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work proficiently in an intense litigation-deadline environment.
  • In addition candidate must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team player in covering the work of others when the situation demands.

Additional Considerations

Experience in the following computer based systems is desired but not required: LawBase Excel and Netdocs.
