Position Summary:
The Temporary Junior Analyst supports the Accounting and Finance team by assisting with financial reporting data analysis and daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in financial analysis reconciliations and business support within a fast-paced environment. The position is term-based with a focus on accuracy organization and timely execution of tasks.

Position Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation of financial reports budgets and forecasts
Perform account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close processes
Analyze financial data and identify trends variances and discrepancies
Maintain and update financial records spreadsheets and databases
Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
Collaborate with team members on ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests
Ensure compliance with internal controls policies and procedures

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas pivot tables data analysis)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle)
Familiarity with financial modeling or data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance
Understanding of GAAP principles
