What You Will Be Working On

• Receive price quotes from suppliers and vendors and required approvals.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders as required after approvals are in order.
• Work with operations teams to identify and confirm proper product specification requirements and arrange transportation of materials to site.
• Issue and maintain requisitions for small purchases.
• Ensure all paperwork is coded properly and has required approvals.
• Keep information accessible by electronically sorting and filing documents.
• Other duties as required.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree / diploma in Business Administration or equivalent with a concentration in purchasing and or accounting from a recognized post-secondary institution would be and asset.
• Previous experience in an administrative role with purchasing duties and responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized purchasing.
• Strong organizational communication and people Management skills.
• Experience working in a heavy civil mining work environment would be and asset.
• Ability to work proactively and effectively with excellent organizational and task execution skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Valid drivers license or equivalent would be an asset.
• Bilingual in French would be an asset.
