The Echo Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms to assist in the evaluation of cardiac conditions. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform echocardiographic studies in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
Prepare and position patients for cardiac imaging procedures.
Acquire and analyze cardiac ultrasound images for diagnostic interpretation.
Ensure accuracy and quality of imaging results.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any complications.
Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams.
Document procedures using systems such as Epic Systems.
Schedule & Work Environment
Day shifts (8-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (5 days per week)
No weekend or on-call requirements
Floating may be required based on facility needs
No scheduling accommodations available
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
High School Diploma or GED
Graduation from a JCERT-accredited program
Experience with Epic Systems
Certifications Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
One of the following:
ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
