Job Summary
Job Description: The Public Schools of Brookline seeks a Math Specialist working at theFlorida Ruffin Ridley School. This is a full-time position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting K-8 classroom teachers with understanding of math content and pedagogical knowledge through collaborative coaching unit planning differentiated instruction and ongoing assessment;
- Supporting a diverse range of learners from interventions to extensions in mathematics in the classroom and small groups;
- Maintaining a mathematically literate school culture (e.g. parent workshops and school math events)
- Collaborating with other math specialists to review curricular resources design professional development and analyze data.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Math content knowledge
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification with SEI endorsement or additional license in ESL
- Math Certification 1-6 or 5-8. Teachers who have certification in grades 1-6 and have passed the 1-6 math MTEL will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
