Job Summary
Whats the Role:
We are seeking a QA Test Analyst to join our testing team and help us develop our simulator products that combine complex software and electronic hardware.
As a QA Test Analyst you will be responsible for testing and reviewing the functionality of our advanced simulator products identifying software issues and raising detailed bug reports.
You will work closely with our test team and other engineers and developers to ensure that our products meet the required quality standards. You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of your testing areas proactively investigating issues and driving quality improvements.
This role offers the opportunity to develop a longer-term career within Immersive Technologies and the broader Komatsu Group with exposure across software hardware support and product roles.
Due to the nature of our simulator products this is an on-site role at our Osborne Park Head Office with no remote work options.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing on advanced simulator hardware to identify and report bugs and defects.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to resolve issues and ensure software meets quality standards.
- Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for simulation and learning products.
- Analyze test results provide feedback to development teams and help improve product quality.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in both products and testing processes.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and best practices.
- Write clear and concise defect reports test plans and other documentation.
- Help maintain a safe working environment in our test room.

What we are looking for:
Youll need:
- A sharp eye for detail and the persistence to investigate issues thoroughly.
- The initiative to manage your own workload and the resourcefulness to work through problems knowing when to dig in and when to pull in the right people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage with engineers and developers across teams.
- Solid computer skills including confidence working with Windows-based systems.
- An aptitude for technology with an ability to set up connect and diagnose complex software/hardware issues.
To be considered for this position youll also need:
- Previous experience in software testing QA technical support or a similar hands-on technical role OR
- A relevant degree in QA Software Testing Computing Electronics or IT
- Full working rights in Australia and be located in Perth.
- This role involves hands-on work with simulator equipment which may occasionally require lifting (up to 15kg) pushing and pulling trolleys bending kneeling and use of hand tools.
- To be able to operate a simulator with 3D Graphics on a tilting platform.
- Operation of XR and advanced vision systems.
