You are the Peer Recovery Specialist that we are seeking for our Adult and Addiction Services program located in Lafayette Indiana. As a PRS you will work alongside patients providing peer support services serving as a patient advocate and facilitating non-clinical skills/support groups with the support of a licensed clinician. This position is scheduled Sun-Thur 2p-10p.

Peer Recovery Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in identifying personal goals for recovery
- Works with clinicians in the development of treatment and discharge plans.
- Provides case management services as identified in the patients treatment plan; coordination of contractual care as needed
- Completes relevant assessments
- Assist patients in recognizing barriers to recovery
- Assist patients in recognizing their personal strengths they build their recovery capital.
- Facilitate non-clinical skills groups
- Assist patients in building social skills and the development of healthy relationships.
- Model different ways someone in recovery uses self-care.
We are seeking Peer Recovery Specialist Candidates with the following qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current sustained period of recovery for at least 2 year with substance use and/or mental health.
- Self-identified person in recovery from substance use and/or mental health
- Holds current Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) credential from the DMHA or will be required to obtain DMHA certification within 4 months of employment.
- Valid drivers license a driving record meeting Meridians driving policy reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance required
