Job Summary
As a Sushi Prep Chef at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square youll play a key role in delivering the artistry and quality that define Nobus globally renowned dining experience. This role demands precision passion and a commitment to the highest culinary standards - ensuring every dish reflects Nobus signature approach to Japanese cuisine.
You will
- Prepare cut and present sushi dishes to Nobus exacting standards
- Ensure your station is set up and operating efficiently throughout service
- Follow Nobu recipes and maintain consistency across all dishes
- Guarantee strict hygiene safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Store raw materials safely and maintain cleanliness in all areas
- Monitor Health & Safety compliance and report any issues promptly
- Maintain equipment in safe working condition and report breakdowns
- Handle allergy requests with care and communicate clearly with service teams
- Support and train new team members fostering collaboration and excellence
- Attend team briefings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
- Demonstrate a proactive positive approach to work and guest care
- Act as an ambassador for Nobu values of Family Crafted Smile and Kokoro
What Were Looking For
You bring experience in sushi preparation within a luxury hospitality or fine dining environment. You have great knife skills a strong understanding of Japanese culinary traditions and a passion for precision. With a proactive attitude and a commitment to excellence youll help deliver Nobus signature dining experience.
