Title: IT Support Specialist Systems & Application Support
Location: Onsite - Tucker GA
Duration: Contract Full-Time 6-Month Contract
Job Description: We are seeking an IT Support Specialist (also known as a Help Desk Technician Desktop Support Analyst or End-User Support Specialist) to provide hands-on IT support and application assistance to end users across a government agency environment. This IT support role involves system troubleshooting software installation and user training in a professional onsite setting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide IT support and user assistance for management information systems via phone and onsite visits
Troubleshoot end-user application and hardware problems diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently
Deliver ongoing operational support for application systems including on-call application support coverage
Install configure and upgrade software on PCs in accordance with IT policies and procedures
Communicate with management and departmental staff regarding system status equipment issues and job execution updates
Develop training materials and conduct training programs for hardware and software end users
Analyze user needs and recommend or implement software modifications to improve system performance
Skills:

System/network administration and support
Application support and troubleshooting
Information security / privacy fundamentals
Software installation and upgrades (PC/Windows environment)
Training development and delivery for hardware/software users

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 6 months of experience in IT support information security system/network administration or application development
Demonstrated ability to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned geographic area
Ability to pass a federal and national background check and pre-employment testing
