AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking Systems Support Specialist II personnel to support the NISSC 3 program at Peterson SFB Colorado. These positions deliver technical and operational support for multiple mission systems by providing onsite and oncall coverage for system administration troubleshooting maintenance and user support in a TS/SCI environment. The Systems Support Specialists will help ensure system availability data integrity and highquality operational documentation.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite and oncall system administration and operational support for multiple mission systems at Cheyenne Mountain.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software network and system performance issues affecting mission operations.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance including applying patches updates configuration changes and performance tuning.
Provide user support and training for system access basic operations and issue resolution.
Collect maintain and update operational logs incident and deficiency reports and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
Perform incident response including initial triage escalation coordination with highertier support and closure documentation.
Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity availability and continuity of operations.
Support system administration and basic database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records logs and reports meet required operational security and audit standards.
Act as a technical resource for performance optimization data integrity role continuity and support to management status reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science Information Systems Data Science Software Engineering or a closely related field
OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration network operations or a related technical discipline.
46 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration systems support or similar technical roles in secure missioncritical (DoD or similar) environments.
Expertise in system administration and troubleshooting to support multiple mission systems.
Strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and operational readiness.
Experience providing responsive user support and training.
Proficiency in managing process documentation operational logs and incident/deficiency reports.
Experience supporting incident response backup/restore and documentation activities in accordance with established procedures.
Ability to support performance optimization efforts and oversee compliance with procedural and documentation standards.
Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred:
Cloud
GSEC
Security
SSCP
