Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive image-guided procedures. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in interventional radiology procedures using imaging guidance.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment.
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment during procedures.
- Monitor patient condition and ensure safety throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and clinical teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using systems such as Epic Systems.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Day shifts (8-hour shifts)
- Full-time schedule (5 days per week)
- Acute care hospital setting
- Weekend availability required
- On-call requirements:
- One weekday call per week (4:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- One three-day weekend call per month (FridaySunday coverage)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Active state license (required at submission)
- Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic Systems
