An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hardwick Primary School our friendly and supportive community primary school as a Year 4 Class Teacher covering maternity leave on a fixed-term basis.

This post would suit an Early Career Teacher seeking a nurturing environment in which to develop their skills or an experienced teacher looking for a rewarding role in a school where staff wellbeing professional development and high-quality teaching are prioritised.

Support for Early Career Teachers (ECTs):

We are looking for someone who:

  • has high expectations for learning and behaviour with a genuine belief in the potential of every child and a commitment to inclusive practice

  • is an engaging motivated and reflective teacher who is open to new approaches

  • has experience of teaching Key Stage 1 (or relevant training and placement experience for ECTs)

  • works well as part of a team and builds positive professional relationships with children colleagues parents and the wider community

  • is committed to their own professional development

  • has the motivation to innovate and where appropriate lead an area of the curriculum

  • is positive approachable and brings a good sense of humour to school life.
