The Intervention Specialist - Hearing Impariedwill:
- Support school personnel in providing interventions and instructional strategies to improve student achievement for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for accommodations.

- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with intervention goals.
- Evaluates student academic needs and learning styles.
- Differentiates instructional techniques to effectively advance student learning.
- Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
- Uses a data-driven approach to analyze assessments. Provides effective feedback to students.
- Facilitates Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Prepares draft and final IEPs.
- Prepares and transmits legally compliant special education documents by required deadlines.
- Advocates for students. Facilitates inclusive educational opportunities for all students.
- Evaluate student achievement/performance. Prepares progress reports and/or report cards.
- Uses positive behavioral support techniques.
- Exemplifies professionalism to enhance NwOESC and member district public images.
- Maintains open/effective communications. Serves as a reliable information resource.
- Pursues opportunities to enhance personal performance.
CONTRACT:Effective for the school year and beyond.
LOCATION:Service locations will be determined based on district needs and may include assignments in Paulding County as well as the NwOESC service area. This is an itinerant position requiring travel to multiple school sites to provide services within students Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

SALARY:In accordance with the adopted salary schedule based on education and experience.
