Senior UX designer, Japan Consumer Innovation
Job Summary
You will take on genuinely ambiguous challenges spanning retail partner service design Science and AI-assisted tooling and end-to-end operational workflows. Your work will directly influence how our retail partners make critical decisions about promotions inventory pricing and business strategy requiring you to think systemically across business decision-making user experience complex service integration.
Key job responsibilities
- Improve end-to-end UX design for retail experiences and services from discovery and concept through to delivery and iteration.
- Partner with UX researche to conduct and synthesize user research including interviews usability testing and behavioral analysis to deeply understand retail partner needs workflows and pain points.
- Translate complex operational and data-heavy workflows into intuitive scalable design solutions that reduce friction and drive partner success.
- Define and logically communicate design solutions frameworks and principles that can scale across the retail partner tooling ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with product managers engineers and business stakeholders to align on priorities and ensure design decisions are grounded in both user needs and business outcomes.
- Advocate for the retail partner perspective in cross-functional discussions bringing a systems-thinking approach to AI-assisted tools and service design.
- Contribute to a culture of design excellence by mentoring team members and raising the bar for UX quality across the organization.

- 8 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working with customers technical teams and management to collect requirements describe software product features and technical designs
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience working in international cross-functional teams
- Track record of influencing product strategy through design thinking and user insights.
- Expertise in AI tools and AI-assisted design methodologies
