The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive outpatient care to infants children and adolescents working collaboratively within ELFHCCs integrated care model that includes behavioral health dental nursing and community health programs. This position emphasizes relationshipbased care prevention early intervention and continuity for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine wellchild exams acute pediatric visits and chronic disease management
- Deliver evidencebased preventive screenings immunizations and developmental assessments
- Partner with parents and caregivers to promote healthy physical emotional and developmental outcomes
- Collaborate with behavioral health clinicians care managers and community health workers to support wholefamily needs
- Participate in care team huddles quality initiatives and practice improvement activities
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Support ELFHCCs mission by providing compassionate culturally responsive care to all patients regardless of ability to pay
Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO with active Pennsylvania medical license (or eligibility)
- Boardcertified or boardeligible in Pediatrics
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Strong commitment to underserved communities and community health
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in an FQHC community health or safetynet clinical setting
- Experience with integrated behavioral health or traumainformed care
- Interest in teaching quality improvement or community outreach
- Bilingual abilities (especially Spanish) are a plus
