Materials Internship (Summer, 2026)

Job Summary
This internship offers hands-on exposure to multiple operational functions including purchasing production control logistics and inventory management.
The intern will work closely with team members across departments to learn how materials flow through the organization and how these functions collaborate to support manufacturing operations. This role also provides a unique opportunity to participate in initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency as the organization expands its use of the Infor System21 ERP system to reduce paper-based processes and optimize workflows.
This position is ideal for students interested in supply chain logistics materials management or operations within a manufacturing environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the Materials team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Support purchasing activities including purchase order tracking and supplier communication
- Assist with production control functions such as reviewing schedules material availability and order status
- Help coordinate logistics activities including shipments inventory movement and documentation
- Participate in projects related to improving efficiency through enhanced use of the companys ERP system
- Support efforts to reduce paper-based processes and improve digital documentation workflows
- Collect and organize data to support reporting and operational decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how materials planning purchasing and production work together
- Perform general administrative support for the Materials and Operations team as needed.

Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Materials Management Operations Management Business or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Interest in manufacturing operations and supply chain processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous internship coursework or projects related to supply chain or logistics
- Exposure to ERP systems or business systems
- Interest in manufacturing or industrial operations
