Chelsea Virtual Learning Academy (CVLA)

REPORTS TO:
Meg Maccini Principal

GENERAL DUTIES:
Staff hired under this stipend will support the implementation of the Youth-Led Cultural Empowerment Grant funded through La Colaborativa. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the planning and facilitation of monthly Healing and Craft Circles for students
• Assisting with preparation and execution of student-led workshops arts activities and storytelling sessions
• Supporting the Artist in Residence program with materials logistics and student engagement
• Assisting with planning and coordination of the culminating Comparsa performance and community gallery event
• Supporting student voice leadership development and participation in all project components
• Helping with setup cleanup and coordination of events and activities
• Collaborating with CVLA staff guest artists and La Colaborativa partners to ensure smooth program implementation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to support hands-on arts writing or workshop-based programming
• Current CPS staff member or approved community partner (as applicable)

COMPENSATION:
1520 hours expected. Compensation will be at the contractual hourly rate for teachers and paraprofessionals.
