Job Title: Developer / Programmer Analyst Specialist

Job Summary
The Developer/Programmer Analyst Specialist is responsible for designing developing and implementing web-based applications using rapid prototyping methodologies. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable secure and user-friendly applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop design documents and SQL-driven screen prototypes.
- Present prototypes to end users gather feedback and iterate designs based on usability and functionality requirements.
- Convert approved prototypes into fully functional web-based applications using Adobe ColdFusion.
- Develop module specifications unit test plans and system/integration test requirements.
- Implement applications in iterative development cycles ensuring accessibility and usability for all users including those using assistive technologies like JAWS and NVDA.
- Create flowcharts models and technical designs; perform enhancements based on testing and user feedback.
- Ensure compliance with World Wide Web Consortium standards and best practices.
- Develop program modules and maintain high-quality technical and user documentation.
- Perform acceptance testing and implement necessary changes before production release.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web application development.
- Strong expertise in:
- Adobe ColdFusion (including Fusebox 5 or newer methodology)
- JavaScript and SQL
- Oracle Database and PL/SQL development
- Experience building browser-based transactional and reporting applications.
- Knowledge of web application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience generating PDF documents within web applications.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling and entity-relationship diagrams
- Database concepts such as referential integrity and normalization
- User interface design for web applications
- Ability to work in a multi-developer configuration-controlled environment.
