About the role:

Here at STG we are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Tax Analyst who will be responsible for executing all day-to-day tax activities as per the tax checklist. This role involves performing all tax calculations preparing returns and declarations and filing with tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Corporate Income Tax prepayments estimations and declarations for different EU countries with preference for Denmark Belgium Netherlands UK and Germany
  • Validation preparation and reporting of Withholding taxes for different countries - is a plus.
  • Support on preparation and revision of indirect tax returns (VAT Intrastat Packaging Tax etc.) and statical reports across relevant entities.
  • Experience in preparing and reporting the packaging Tax Extended Producer Responsibility Single Use Tax - is a plus.
  • Support to other teams and to other team members on Tax queries and propose best practices in Tax
  • Assist in gathering reconciling and validating tax data extracted from SAP S/4 Hana to ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Introduce controls and verifications to declarations and to reports.
  • Monitor tax compliance calendars to ensure all filings and payments are completed on time.
  • Support the resolution of discrepancies identified in tax reviews coordinating with Finance AP AR and other internal stakeholders.
  • Preparation of responses and relevant documentation for inquiries from auditors or tax authorities.
  • Research tax rules rates and legislation changes using internal knowledge bases or external regulatory updates.
  • Maintain clear organized tax documentation in digital archive for audit readiness including filing proofs working papers and payment proofs.
  • Support internal controls execution related to tax processes ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Bring ideas of improvement initiatives to enhance tax processes including automation opportunities and SAP optimization.

Expectations with the support of the Tax supervisor:

  • Collaborate closely with tax analysts and tax supervisor to ensure smooth execution of monthly quarterly and yearly compliance cycles.
  • Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams (Record to Report Procure to Pay Quote to Cash Treasury) to resolve taxrelated issues and align procedures.
  • Escalate critical issues delays or risks to the Tax Lead or Senior Analyst in a timely manner.
  • Support onboarding activities for new team members by sharing documentation and demonstrating agreed procedures when needed.
  • Participate in team meetings training sessions and knowledgesharing initiatives within the Tax / Finance organization and support the preparation of tax training.


Qualifications and Experience:

Required:
Experience: 6-7years in tax compliance planning and operations with VAT and corporate income tax experience
Understanding of local and international tax laws especially in the European Union
Familiarity with tax software; experience with SAP S/4 HANA is an advantage.
Optional but sought after: tax experience in Denmark Northern EU countries and/or Italy
Functional leadership skills
Positive posture and can do attitude builder profile
Strong communication skills
Education: BSc/BA (Hons) in Accounting Finance Taxation or a related field
