Army Training Regiment (Grantham) is a heavily committed Hybrid Unit responsible for delivering over 70% of all Army Reserve Basic Training. As the leading hub for Reserve soldier development ATR(G) provides a high-quality modular training experience that blends face to face instruction with remote learning to prepare recruits for the demands of Army Reserve the core of our output are the two key phases of Army Reserve Basic Training: Foundation Training and Battle Campboth delivered directly by ATR(G).
These Pl Comd Appt are with Inkerman Coy one of two Army Reserve Companies responsible for the delivery of the Foundation Training phase of Army Reserve BT. This phase is delivered either as an intensive 9 day consolidated course or through a flexible five weekend modular format ensuring accessibility while maintaining rigorous standards.
Pl Comd Responsibilities include:
- Command an Army Reserve BT delivery Platoon as per ATR(G) mission.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel (recruits and PS) in camp and when deployed.
- Supervise and advise SNCO and JNCO in all aspects of professional and personal development.
- Career management of all personnel under their command.
- Monitor all aspects of administration and recommend disciplinary welfare or remediation action to the Officer Commanding.
- Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all personnel under their command.
- Act as ECO/RCO as directed by the Officer Commanding or Training Officer.
- Contribute to Regtl extra-curricular outputs i.e. BFS Sport AT etc...
