Environmental and Sustainability Specialist

The opportunity

Are you motivated by sustainability and driven to make a measurable environmental impact Join Hitachi Energy as an Environmental Management Specialist and help shape how environmental excellence is embedded into our this role you will lead the development implementation and continual improvement of our Environmental Management Systems (EMS) playing a critical role in supporting responsible growth and operational resilience.

You will collaborate with teams across the organization to assess environmental risks strengthen compliance and integrate sustainability principles into daily business activities. Your work will directly influence how we manage resources reduce environmental impact and meet regulatory expectationsall while supporting our mission to advance a more sustainable and decarbonized energy future.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

How youll make an impact

• Develop implement and maintain ISO 14001aligned EMS programs

• Conduct environmental impact and risk assessments for projects and operations

• Ensure compliance with federal state and local environmental regulations

• Track analyze and report environmental KPIs and performance metrics

• Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation

• Lead and support internal external and regulatory audits

• Deliver environmental and sustainability training across the organization

• Collaborate crossfunctionally to embed sustainability into operations

Your background

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Engineering Sustainability or related field

• Three to five years of experience in environmental management or EHS roles

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental regulations

• Experience with permitting reporting and regulatory compliance

• Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills

• Environmental or EHS certifications are an asset
