Job Summary

As the Income Tax Accountant you will serve as a key contributor to our North American tax operations. This role is designed for a professional who has mastered the fundamentals of corporate tax compliance and is ready to take ownership of complex projects including tax technology initiatives and multi-state consolidated filings. You will act as a bridge between tax compliance and broader financial reporting ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of Federal/State consolidated and separate tax returns.
  • Responsible for estimated Federal/State tax payments
  • Income tax accounting: assist with annual Federal/State tax provision maintenance of deferred tax accounts and related financial statement disclosures
  • Assist with special M-1 adjustments including: UNICAP LIFO and Fixed Assets.
  • Tax forecasting
  • Assist with tax technology implementations
  • Assist with IRS audits
  • Provide support and assistance to the tax managers in all aspects of the compliance function to include technical research and analysis
  • Ability to interact professionally with business units and other staff members.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 3 years of professional experience in corporate income tax compliance or public accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables VLOOKUPs data modeling) and experience with corporate tax software (e.g. Corptax OneSource).
  • Demonstrated experience with Federal and Multi-state tax filings for large complex legal entities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or active candidacy.
  • Masters Degree in Taxation (MST).
  • Prior experience working within a large multinational manufacturing or technology organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP or similar large-scale ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings to non-tax stakeholders.
