Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the preparation submission and review of regulatory filings for multiple dental office locations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal state and local requirements including business taxes sales and use taxes personal property taxes real estate taxes license renewals and annual franchise reports. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of fundamental accounting principles the ability to analyze financial data and the skills to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. This position works closely with crossfunctional teams and communicates results to Regional and Corporate management.
Responsibilities
Research federal state and local regulatory filing requirements and communicate directly with the appropriate agencies
Manage the departments email inbox and incoming mail ensuring timely responses proper routing and effective prioritization of inquiries
Prepare and submit regulatory filings including business taxes sales and use taxes personal property taxes real estate taxes license renewals and annual franchise reports
Ensure accurate coding and timely submission of tax bills to the Accounts Payable team
Review invoice details and prepare required monthly accounts payable entries
Prepare journal entries and maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation
Perform account reconciliations for multiple accounts and locations identifying and resolving discrepancies
Analyze financial data and quantify variances from expected results
Communicate regulatory requirements filing statuses and accounting policies to the field

Highly detailoriented with the ability to work accurately when reviewing financial data and preparing regulatory filings
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and Outlook
Effective communicator who can interact professionally with internal teams office managers and regulatory agencies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to research issues identify discrepancies and interpret general ledger activity
Able to work independently in a remote environment while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
Dependable selfmotivated and committed to producing highquality work
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field
Foundational knowledge of US GAAP and basic accounting principles
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills for researching and identifying discrepancies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (training provided)
