Job Summary
The Human Resource Specialist position functions as a partner to the property by providing comprehensive support on a day-to-day basis. This team member will be responsible for facilitating onboarding and orientation of new team members and other classroom training. This position supports the Human Resource Business Partners in the planning and execution of the human capital strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to achieve staffing goals.
- Using established HR systems manage requisitions and move applicants through the pipeline.
- Coordinate the pre-employment process in accordance with local state and federal regulations as well as any other regulatory agencies.
- Facilitate new hire orientation
- Serves I-9 and E-Verify subject matter expert
- Attend job fairs and other recruiting events as necessary.
- Data entry and filing
- Organizes and oversees the maintenance of team member records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Stay abreast of new Human Resource trends and innovations
- Assists with front-desk duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of human resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR concepts policies procedures and employment law compliance.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work varied hours including some evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as
required by local gaming regulations.
