JOB GOAL:To use leadership supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters Degree or equivalent educational training/experience.
2. Minimum five years teaching experience in the field.
REPORTS TO:Principal/Assistant Principal
SUPERVISES:Responsible for the general leadership and supervision of the staff and the program as the prime or secondary evaluator.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly involved in program development.
- Responsible for general leadership of the Department and Program.
- Assists in the articulation and coordination with other levels.
- Responsible for assessment of methods and materials within the Department.
- Responsible for coordinating all elements of the hiring process and makes recommendations for positions. Should be the initial screening interviewer of candidates.
- Responsible for orientation and training of all new staff regarding Department regulations and program.
- Develops the Department budget.
- Supervises expenditures of appropriated budget.
- Supervises the inventory storage use and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Maintains appropriate Departmental records.
- Assists in the scheduling of students and classes when appropriate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per BTA Contract
SALARY: In accordance with BTA Contract. Stipend is in addition to step and lane 26-27 SY $10701.00
