Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care in Suffolk VA

Job Responsibilities:
- Vent management with assistance from respiratory therapists.
- Monitoring of critical care patients and assisting with decompensation cases overnight.
- Admitting new critical care patients from the emergency department hospital floors and nearby facilities.
- Performing procedures such as central line placements arterial lines and dialysis catheter insertions.
- Updating families and discussing goals of care with the medical team when patients decompensate.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) - REQUIRED
- Active Virginia license and DEA - REQUIRED
- BLS and ACLS certified - REQUIRED
- Must be available to cover specified shifts each month - REQUIRED
- Demonstrated critical care experience - REQUIRED
- Clean background necessary for temporary privileges - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified NP
- Active Virginia Nursing License
- DEA Certification
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
