The Senior Supply Chain Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. Key job responsibilities
Managing overall supplier relationships including supplier performance capability capacity planning contracting risk mitigation cost and quality improvements.
Collaborating with technical operations engineering and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements ensuring sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities cost and business objectives.
Drive suppliers continuous improvement and value engineering in support of programs performance metrics: quality delivery capacity cost and safety.
Monitor suppliers supply chain manufacturing human capital with respect to overall program objectives.
Development and execution of global commodity strategies that align business requirements with supplier capabilities.
Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.
About the team
The Amazon Logistics Supply Chain team owns the supply chain set-up and readiness for all new programs and products across multiple engineering categories (equipment fixtures consumables etc.). We bring last & middle miles ambitious goals to life by partnering with a wide set of stakeholders in Worldwide Engineering WHS Design Operations and Procurement. We program manage vendors during the design deployment and change management stages. We partner internally and externally to deliver program milestones cost quality and sustainability.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or a related field
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel Pivot Tables SQL Tableau or equivalent
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Experience in global supply chain management managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- 5 years of related industry experience
- Masters degree in Business Administration Finance Economics Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in data centers infrastructure service providers or related technology companies
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management benchmarking should-cost models RFX reverse auction contracting or equivalent)
- Experience in computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Experience working with steel fabricated components and associated commodities

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
