Senior Staff Server and Storage engineer

Description:

We are looking for a Senior Staff Server and Storage engineerto join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations of the IT infrastructure addition the Engineer will participate with the installation monitoring maintenance support and optimization of all system hardware software and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve system hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Candidate responsible for administering VMWare Windows Servers Active Directory IIS and SQL Server.
• Candidate must be able to create system related architecture diagrams and perform complex technical analysis.
• Must work effectively as part of a team as well as communicate effectively with team members and all levels of management.
• Candidate must perform as a member of the IT team to support the installation optimization integration troubleshooting backup recovery modification security and upgrading of IT systems and components to provide services that enable employees to effectively apply IT to complete business requirements.
• The candidate is expected to perform monitoring evaluation capacity planning and design of enterprise load balanced fault tolerant redundant systems utilizing VM Ware and Microsoft and AWS products.
• Develop and maintain data retention plan including all critical servers data security and rights.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation.
• Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
• Install and update software patches as required.
• Monitor systems health and makes recommendations for additional resources and hardware.
• Recommends enhancements to the server/storage/virtualization infrastructure
• Candidate must have experience and willingness to share 24x7 support responsibilities with other members of the IT team.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 12 years as a Windows and Exchange /O365 /Azure /AWS System Administration
• Experience with NetApp/Dell or Pure Storage Systems
• Strong experience in VMware cluster infrastructure
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize workload
• Experience using Domain Trusts Group Policies Objects and Logon scripts.
• Experience working on file/print/user services.
• Experience in configuring administering windows failover clustering windows network load balancer
• Hands on experience in AWS cloud
• Experience administering SQL Server databases
• Prior experience using Veeams Rubrik Commvault Backup platform is a plus
• Prior experience with disaster recovery working in Windows/Linux Server environment.
• Project management experience to lead projects independently.
• Experience with SharePoint and Web services a plus.
• Hands on experience handling Server and Storage operation tickets
• Hands on experience Addressing vulnerability and Patch management
• Position requires off-hours availability as needed to support business needs.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors degree of Engineering from an accredited college or university with major course work in Information Science Computer Science etc. Masters degree is a plus.
• 12 years in Windows System administrator and Supporting infrastructure experience in a diverse range of technology environment
